My daughter attended on Aspergers Support Group meeting at Abington Park as part of her care under her support worker Sarah Cobley. The meeting was well-planned, well-promoted and well attended. My daughter greatly looks forward to these monthly meetings and to meeting the friends she has made there. Previous to attending these meetings she had no friends and no social life. We are both extremely grateful to Sarah for all she has done.
Good way to meet new people and try new things. Helps me to move at of my comfort zone in order to improve confidence, but in and safe and friendly environment.
I felt as though I was helped a lot and I feel as though I can join groups that have other individuals like myself.
Making friends, travelling to places I have never been to, builds my confidence, helps me to over come my weaknesses.
Make more time for one on one chats/pep talks.
Since joining the group I have met and made friends with may more people than I would have without the group. Sarah has been very helpful. Providing lots of information at the groups.
It's been really nice to be have cares who listen carefully to my concerns I feel that the groups and outings really make me feel a part of something. I have made friends, which I never thought possible.
